| For the past 12 years, my work as a writer/photographer/artist and creative professional has taken me across the art + culture landscape in both New York and Los Angeles. As a creative professional I have acquired a diverse range of experience with a variety of organizations and individuals. Including: Dia Center for the Arts - leading contemporary art institution in New York Self Help Graphics and Art - legendary Chicano community arts center in East Los Angeles The SOURCE - the first hip-hop magazine to achieve worldwide distribution Bob Holman of the Bowery Poetry Club/Columbia University - world renowned poet Corbis preeminent stock photo agency owned by Bill Gates Along with graduating from Columbia University (BA) and The New School for Social Research (MA), these opportunities have honed my ability to make connections across multiple disciplines, cultures and layers of society. As a result, in 2007, I founded Cultureserve.net, an online art journal that seamlessly combines academic analysis, street vernacular and philosophical perspective with international urban contemporary art and social justice.
